I bought some fun lil blue top hats with big red stars on them to wear for this festive holiday!  Love the color blue! This picture of the little girls is so fun and brings back old memories of past 4th's with my girl cousins all dressed up for Independence Day!

Hope yours is wonderful and you get a chance to reflect on what this day is all about and to be thankful to our long ago history's past.

Hi again!
This is random, but don't you just love this bathroom sink area!!?? So unique, well designed and amazingly beautiful!!!!

So those of you that know me, know that I am a neutral gal, when it comes to "color" that I am drawn to.  Well I am all about stretching myself and growing outside of my "normal" self to things that are more outside of my daily perimeters at the moment.  So my next few posts are going to be dedicated to specific colors.  I am starting with one, that I think is very pretty, but don't normally jump to always, when it comes to the color wheel.  Hope you enjoy and find some inspiration yourself.

P.S.  I have to give a shout out to my all time faithful follower Kimi Merrit... She went back onto my blog to look at old posts, because she said she missed it and loved it (since I've been out of commission for a while).  Oh, my... such sweetness. #56: hi!

So it's fun to come back to my lil corner for a moment. My closet corner :)
Lately it's been hard to get dressed since everyday at work I wear all black, all the time.  It's easy for work, but when it comes to time off... well all of the sudden I can't seem to formulate a simple, but unique ensemble to wear. Here are some things I thought were fun!

ps- love love love my new job and work.  Everyday is a new art piece and its just so fun and challenging to push myself and to create in a new way.  So I've also included some fun hair inspiration!

#55: thoughts and things

So in order to give my little mind a break from the logical annoying bits that one has to deal with in life, I left my responsible internet chore work for something way more fun! Yes, Closet research :) Hope you find yourself taking a break too as you look at these few simple ideas.



Man... isn't this a cool little way to spice up the white blazer and worn in jean look?!  I wonder if there could be some non-tacky way to re-create this outer wear and make something similar without it looking home made?! Normally I would say tears/rips, on the back side, not to classy... but these... well... I like em!  Its probably b/c the jean is a looser fit, and light colored.  Hmmm... may need to think about making my own version somehow.



Emmanuelle Alt. I have blogged about this chic before... but saw this picture and was reminded about what amazing style she has!  So easy, chic, and simple... classic! But yet so "up-to-date" hip.  Love her!

#53: I'm bringin...somthin back...woop!

Hi all!  I'm so happy to be writing on mi bloggity blog!  I've missed it!  And your sweet little notes!  I've been busy away at school and looovvveeeing it!

I haven't had much time to goodwill, or put together interesting compilations of clothes, (partly because all I can wear now is black, and partly because my brain is on other things, such as hair... I know...) But I still love finding little bits of inspiration and compilation ideas!! Even if I can't put them together myself at the time.

I'm craving spring time right now. Partly because its so bloody cold right now, and partly because, this is the time of year when I get really sick of covering up an outfit with as many layers as possible just so I feel as though I won't die by frost bite.

I love this little look... so much.  I can't wait to wear the little white skirt that I have, and find a little top like this.  Very simple and easy to put together, so long as you can find just the right pieces.  Thats what takes it from ordinary "gap" to fabulously simple and chic. 

This little art piece reminds me of taking design or drawing class with one of my art professors during my undergrad.


This path makes me want to wear a straw fedora, sexy, low, white button up shirt and your best rolled up favorite pair of boyfriend jeans.  I know right?! Makes you want 78 degree weather!

#52: school time

So I've just started school yesterday!  Eeeek!  I little crazy... I'm not used to complete career changes and what it's supposed to feel like.  I am having so much fun already though!  I feel a bit old since most of the gals around me are around 18-19 years old, but there are a few that are around my ripe old age :)

Since I don't get internet at my home anymore, its to the cafe I go to get online, study and of course blab away on here!!










This week is all about shampoo's, head massages, and haircuts!  I'll be cutting on hair tomorrow already!  Eeek! (again).  I am a little nervous, but only because everything is so new and it feels extremely strange to be back in school again.  But I'm loving it so far.  Wish me luck!
